ANNUAL RETREATS

Higher Ground's annual Retreat is a special time of fellowship and reflection through workshops and special events. Retreats may include such diverse activities as Laughter Yoga, Horseback Riding, and HIV “Vision Boards”. All intended to help promote education and healing. Our retreats have been held at various locations in Michigan such as the Kettunen Center near Cadillac, the Double JJ Ranch and the Ronora Lodge in the western part of the state. These retreats provide a place for Higher Ground participants to establish friendships, to gain further knowledge about complementary therapies, and also to learn what other HIV/AIDS individuals are experiencing.

LOCAL RETREATS

Higher Ground also organizes local “retreats” that bring the group together for a few hours to experience something meaningful together.

One example was attending a local production of “RENT” a musical dealing with (among other things) HIV/AIDS and how it can affect your life.

We also have an annual Pool Party and a Winter Open House
