• Positive Sign Yoga
  Tuesday Evenings 7:30pm to 8:30pm

  Hatha Yoga class for people living with HIV/AIDS. Each class to focus on different introductory postures. Attend all classes for a gentle and relaxing experience! Please bring a yoga mat and a blanket. The instructor is a Registered Yoga Teacher(RYT). Recommended $5 donation to Higher Ground

Guest Speakers

HIGHER GROUND offers guest speakers who have knowledge on topics helpful to people living with HIV/AIDS. The guest speakers include people who offer helpful information about complementary therapies for people living with HIV/AIDS such as nutrition, meditation, and acupuncture. Guest speaker night at HIGHER GROUND is a special night that usually includes a pot-luck dinner.

AIDS Walk Detroit

Please join us this September 2008 to help us raise the much needed funds which will keep Higher Ground’s great programs running without any interruptions. Retreats

HIGHER GROUND offers retreats throughout the year. HIGHER GROUND'S annual retreat has been held in beautiful settings in northern Michigan, including the Kettunen Center in Tustin, Michigan. The retreats provide a place for HIGHER GROUND participants to establish friendships, to gain further knowledge about complementary therapies, and also learn what other HIV/AIDS individuals are experiencing.

Reiki

HIGHER GROUND currently offers a Reiki Master during its weekly support group meetings. Experience the healing touch of reiki at HIGHER GROUND.
